Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is an academic institution oriented towards applied research and innovation. More than just a traditional academic institution, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is a platform for experimentation and a pool of opportunities, which students like to call «The school of life». Being a representation of the outside world, with its challenges, perspectives and promises, the university endeavors to unveil the potential of Moroccan youth and African students on a continental level.

UM6P Entrepreneurship and Venturing Direction (DEV) is a department within the University Polytechnic Mohammed VI, dedicated to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators by providing them with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to turn their ideas into startups. The department's activities within UM6P are designed to foster corporate innovation, support startups, and create a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

From ideation to scaling and investment, the DEV mission is to drive innovation and to create value through entrepreneurship and venturing for OCP, startups, corporate entities, universities and researchers, and NGOs, in Morocco and Africa.

In 2023, UM6P Entrepreneurship and Venturing department has supported more than 650 startups and hosted more than 16 programs in partnership with renowned national and international organizations. More than 30% of the project holders that got incubated within its programs are women. Its unique positioning within the academic sector allowed it to train not only researchers, but also students and employees to the entrepreneurial mindset.
