In The Second Edition of DeepTech summit, the DTS Prize recognized three outstanding startups redefining innovation in Life Sciences and Green Economy.
Sand to Green (Morocco)
Founder: Benjamin Rombaut
Transforming deserts into fertile lands through agroforestry, Sand to Green is pioneering sustainable agriculture in arid regions. Their solution regenerates degraded ecosystems while securing food systems and water resources for future generations.
Cure Bionics (Tunisia)
Founder: Mohamed Dhaouafi
Empowering amputees with affordable, 3D-printed smart bionic arms, Cure Bionics is redefining access to healthcare for underserved populations. Their innovation bridges science and purpose, enhancing mobility, dignity, and inclusion.
NYUNGU AFRIKA (Kenya)
Founder: Mary Nyaruai
Led by women, for women NYUNGU AFRIKA is advancing menstrual health innovation across Africa. By breaking taboos and improving access to dignified, sustainable solutions, they are uplifting communities and empowering change.
Sawari Ventures (Egypt)
With a steadfast commitment to the DeepTech ecosystem, Sawari Ventures has played a crucial role in scaling impact-driven startups in North Africa. Their investment philosophy goes beyond capital, supporting innovation, regional growth, and long-term vision.
A special recognition was also granted to a leading VC championing deeptech across Africa and beyond.
How It Works
Phase 1
The application pool will be refined to identify the top 60 startups, while 10-15 leading venture capital firms will be shortlisted.
Phase 2
The 60 selected startups will undergo rigorous evaluation, narrowing down to 9 exceptional finalists.
Phase 3
Winners will be unveiled and celebrated at DTS 2025! Two standout startups, one Most Promising African Startup, and one VC winner will be recognized.
